Fla. drinking water threatened by salt intrusion

Drinking water supplies in South Miami-Dade County could be threatened by a briny plume near a Florida Power & Light plant in Biscayne Bay. The plant will install 10 additional monitoring wells to discover the source of the salt front. Some environmentalists point to the utility's massive canal system as a possible source of the salt intrusion.
