Jeni Miller of K Squared Communications suggests that travel agents get more involved in their communities to gain new clients. Miller offers tips for becoming better known, but says agents also need to be aware of etiquette. "The point is not to be self-promotional, but to be a member of the community," Miller said. For example, give business cards discreetly when asked.
