Parents battle officials over lack of bus service, safety concerns

Citing safety concerns, parents at a Frisco, Texas, elementary school are lobbying for bus services to be provided for children who live within two miles of the school. Students must walk on roads with 50-mph speed limits and contend with what parents say are hazardous carpool lanes at the school. District administrators are working with transportation officials to create some safety precautions, but they say the school is no different than others in the district with the same guidelines regarding bus service.
