Propane companies rush into action as temperatures drop

Propane distributors in and around Albany, N.Y., have been springing into action as temperatures drop, with the phones ringing off the hook as homeowners aim to get their boilers fueled. Many homeowners leave it until the last minute to repair boilers or fill their tanks, so companies are making money by offering late-night and weekend visits. "Nobody's happy to call us, but they're always pleased when we send someone to get them out of a jam because they're cold and they have no heat," says Matt Polsinello, manager of Polsinello Fuels.
