Report: 1 in 5 TV homes to have "over-the-top" service by 2020

So-called over-the-top broadband-based rivals to pay-TV services are projected to total 27.3 million subscribers, or 21.3% of TV households, by 2020, according to a MagnaGlobal report. Satellite-TV providers are likely to suffer the most from OTT competitors because they don't have as big a broadband reach as cable and telecoms, the research found.
