Seattle-Tacoma airport will start using scanners next week

Transportation Security Administration officials at Seattle-Tacoma airport in Washington state will start using full-body scanners to screen travelers by the end of next week. They note that travelers will have the choice of passing through the scanners or through traditional metal detectors. While some travelers said they believed that the scanners would improve security, others raised concerns about privacy.
