SEC holds off on approving settlement deal with Rattner

The Securities and Exchange Commission has held off voting to settle its probe into financier Steven Rattner's role in a New York pension payback scheme after the office of New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, which is conducting a separate investigation, expressed its displeasure at the deal. The settlement would have fined Rattner nearly $6 million and banned him from certain kinds of securities work for two years.
