NCI unveils guidelines for addressing "omics" research

The National Cancer Institute unveiled a draft list of 29 criteria to help researchers address the challenges they face when creating tests based on the examination of thousands of proteins, genes and biomolecules within patient samples, also called "omics" studies. The list enforces test replication at different levels including calling for researchers to repeat an assay on the same sample to ensure it offers consistent results.
