Competition builds students' knowledge of robotics

Middle- and high-school students taking part in a science and engineering contest at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, are learning the basics of science, technology, engineering and math and gaining a better understanding of the engineering associated with robotics. Students used kits filled with items, such as plywood, PVC pipes and plastic, to build their robots, which will be put to the test in an obstacle course.
