Educator considers best practices for teaching students with ADHD

National ADHD Awareness Month takes place in October. In this blog post, Stuart Grauer, a teacher and founding head of The Grauer School in Encinitas, Calif., considers whether traditional teaching methods are well-suited to students with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. "However naturally, many teachers feel that they are required to teach in straight lines, and to known outcomes, while many of our students with ADHD may never learn well seated still in rows," he writes.
