Foursquare unveils ad platform for SMBs

Foursquare has lifted the lid on a new ad platform that will enable small businesses to push ads onto the mobile devices of passers-by. The company is touting Foursquare ads as having clearer, easier to track ROI than conventional social ads. "We're moving past the days when business owners have to figure out if a 'like' or a 'click' has any meaning in the real world; now they can tell if someone who saw their ad actually walks into their store," the company said in a blog post.
