GBTA predicts 7.2% rise in corporate travel spending in 2014

The Global Business Travel Association reports that despite the effects of the ongoing government shutdown on corporate travel, growth in business-traveler numbers next year is expected to help raise overall spending by 7.2%, to $288.8 billion. The number of business trips taken is predicted to rise 1.6%, to 459.2 million. Spending on international corporate travel next year is predicted to grow by 12.4%, to $36.6 billion.
