High-tech tools help Mich.'s apple growers boost yields

Apple growers in Michigan are turning to high-tech machines with robotic arms and high-resolution photography that can wash, sort and package about 2,000 apples per minute. The new tools are helping growers increase production and productivity, and will allow them to get this year's bumper crop to stores more quickly and less expensively, growers say.
