McKeesport Candy offers old-time candy favorites online

The 86-year-old MaKeesport Candy Co. has evolved with the times to offer its stock of old favorites, like jawbreakers, rock candy and sour balls, to 21st-century customers through its website. The change came in the 1990s, when third-generation candy seller Jon Prince saw the consumer base around him changing and decided open his market to include the whole country, launching the e-commerce site in 1998. “It was time to make a move to another facet of the business,” now-retired 85-year-old Gerald Prince said. “My son decided the Internet might be the answer.”
