Girls who have an interest in science, technology, engineering and math should follow three steps if they want to pursue a career in STEM, Taniya Mishra, a senior member of technical staff with AT&T Labs, writes in this blog post. She advises girls to "inventory their interests." She also recommends staying focused on STEM, even if friends are losing interest, and finding mentors to help in school and on the job.
