ROA, other groups rally against shutdown at WWII memorial

A coalition of military organizations, including the Reserve Officers Association, held a rally today at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., to urge Congress to end the government shutdown and resolve its budget issues before the U.S. defaults on its debts. Retired Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Andrew Davis, executive director of the ROA, highlighted the fact that the shutdown has stopped training and drill pay for Reservists. "After returning from war or disaster, [Reservists] see that they are again being overlooked," he said.
