New California Law Targets Big-Box Retailers

A new California safety law is aimed at increasing safety at the warehouse-like stores of Home Depot, Wal-Mart and other large retailers. Passed in response to a series of injuries at "big box" retailers nationwide, the law requires companies to use netting, rails or other restraints to prevent merchandise from falling off tall storage racks.
