Fewer Pap tests may be OK, study says

Health experts are encouraged by research supporting the assertion that women over age 30 can scale back their future testing schedule for cervical cancer if they already have had three normal Pap tests over a period of three years. "This is the first time there's really data to back up" the groups' recommendations says Dr. Michelle Berlin, director of the Center for Excellence in Women's Health at Oregon Health & Science University.
