Writing from his perch at a community newspaper in Maine, Bill Gloede suggests that national and regional marketers are doing themselves a disservice by not targeting the engaged and focused readership of local newspapers, with print advertising. However Gloede suggests the real problem has more to do with national companies that buy local papers and empty them of local news content.
