New Massachusetts building will feature green roof

A new housing complex in Ipswich, Mass., will have a grass roof without shingles. Developers say the green roof will protect the Ipswich River and the building. "It's like putting a blanket on the roof," says architect Ken Savoie. "With a green roof, you don't have the high temperatures, you don't have the ultraviolet rays, you don't have all the elements that can do so much damage to a roof."
