Wal-Mart planning revamped in-store network

By early 2008, Wal-Mart will have completely overhauled its in-store ad network in roughly 1,200 locations to allow for customized ads in individual departments, as well as specific aisles. "The store is our number one media channel," Wal-Mart CMO John Fleming said. "The network of the future will allow us to take full advantage of it."
