Delta sees surge in income

Delta Air Lines reported that its third-quarter net income more than quadrupled. The carrier reported net income of $220 million, or 56 cents a share, compared with $52 million a year earlier. Richard Anderson, who took over the CEO job at Delta in September, said he expects consolidation in the U.S. airline industry.
