Demand grows for virtual worlds

Media companies are looking to virtual worlds as a means of creating participatory online environments that are like video games but less scripted, according to this article. Warner Bros. Entertainment is launching virtual world T-Works next year, and Walt Disney Co. recently acquired virtual world Club Penguin.
