Researchers say micro-dosing helps menopause symptoms

A study found that estrogen patches at the lowest doses of 0.014 mg can help reduce menopausal hot flashes. The study compared the effectiveness of low-dose estrogen (0.023 mg per day) and micro-dose estrogen patches on 425 postmenopausal women experiencing moderate to severe hot flashes, finding both doses significantly reduced the severity of hot flashes after 12 weeks when compared to a placebo.
