Study: Drugmaker, medical school ties prevalent

About two-thirds of academic leaders at 125 accredited medical schools and the 15 largest teaching hospitals in the U.S. have financial connections to the drug and medical device industry, a survey reports. One industry representative said the findings weren't surprising or necessarily a cause for concern.
