U.K. to study stem cells in "revision hip replacements"

British researchers are planning to test the effectiveness of stem cell transplantation in improving outcomes of second hip replacements. Researchers hope the study, which was funded by the UK Stem Cell Foundation and the Medical Research Council, will produce a more effective technique in repairing bone damage and inflammation caused by artificial joints.
