Los Angeles MTA mulls downtown light-rail connector

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority in Los Angeles will discuss two routes for a downtown connector for current and anticipated light-rail lines. The connector would consist of a street level and an underground level. MTA does not currently have the funds to build a connector that would minimize the need for transfers, but, if passed, a proposal to boost the sales tax would help pay for it.
