Survey finds RSV season may begin earlier than November

The arrival of the respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV, season may be earlier than the traditional November start date, according to study results. Researchers say a survey of 31 hospital emergency departments in 21 states found widespread virus activity in infants was seen in the U.S. in September and October of 2006 and 2007.
