Capital pours into Europe's big corporations

Public equity markets are delivering fresh capital to Europe's major companies through stock and bond offerings and even a few initial public offerings. This year, European firms raised nearly $221 billion through rights offerings and IPOs, data provider Dealogic said. "Companies are looking ahead to take advantage of the gradual recovery, and investors' appetite for risk is slowly returning," said Mike Lenhoff, chief strategist at Brewin Dolphin.
