Group creates Web site to push e-prescribing in Virginia

A group of Virginia-based health care executives and pharmacists, known as CommonwealthRx, has rolled out a new Web site aimed at promoting e-prescribing throughout Virginia and advancing the state into the "Top 10 in 2010" for the percentage of e-prescriptions submitted. "Creating a more robust e-prescription climate is an important step in driving broader adoption and meaningful use of health information technology," said Michael Matthews, the group's chairman.
