HPV vaccination program reduces genital warts cases

Australia's free human papillomavirus vaccination program has led to a sharp decline in cases of genital warts in teenage girls and young women, researchers reported. The study at the Melbourne Sexual Health Center showed new cases in women under age 28 decreased by 25%, and in young men by 5%, each quarter throughout 2008.
