Raw-milk debate churns through states

Efforts are under way in several states this year to either tighten or loosen laws related to the sale of raw milk. Although advocates say unpasteurized milk has health benefits, many others, including the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, say pasteurization is essential to kill potentially harmful germs in raw milk.
