Calif. tribal casino raises its minimum wage

The Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians announced plans to raise the minimum wage paid at its tribal casino in Amador County, Calif., to $10.60 an hour. "While the federal government struggles with a government shutdown our tribe has invested its resources cautiously and kept a balanced budget," said Adam Dalton, tribal chairman.
