Customer values must guide digital marketing strategy

Customer engagement and loyalty are often determined by how well the culture of digital marketing aligns with the "prevailing digital 'values'" of their target audience, Paul Dunay writes. Focusing campaigns on beating the competition can put off customers because the focus shifts away from interacting with them.
