India officials dismiss concerns about China-Pakistan nuclear deal

India shouldn't be concerned about a $9.6 billion reactor supply deal between China and Pakistan as long as it falls under International Atomic Energy Agency rules and is approved by the Nuclear Suppliers Group, said S.K. Jain, chairman of the Indian Atomic Industrial Forum. "But if it is for nonpeaceful purposes, India has its own deterrent program to counter it," said S.K. Malhotra, a spokesman for India's Department of Atomic Energy.
