Metal roof replacement at N.Y. correctional facility could cost up to $3M

The metal roofs at the Cape Vincent Correctional Facility in Cape Vincent, N.Y., have worn out, reached the end of their life span and need replacement, according to Heather Groll, spokeswoman of the state's Office of General Services. It will cost up to $3 million to remove and replace the standing-seam painted galvanized steel metal roof, add insulation, change some entrance canopies and replace some siding, Groll said.
