Research allays concerns about IBD-oral health link

The dental health of inflammatory bowel disease patients was similar to that of people who did not have IBD, according to Temple University research presented the ACG Annual Scientific Meeting. Earlier research had suggested IBD might be linked to periodontal disease and dental caries but researcher Dr. Ovais Ahmed said: "At a minimum, no alarming trends were identified in this analysis."
