Samsung debuts memories that run faster, use less power

Samsung Electronics on Wednesday introduced the Green DDR4 memory chip, which it says transfers data at 2,133 megabits per second while using 24% less power. When the chip goes into volume production, it will have a data transfer rate of 3,200 Mbps, according to Samsung. The company also debuted the Green PCIe solid-state drive, specified to move data at 4 gigabytes per second.
