Survey: 56% of firms offer consumer-driven health plans

More employers are turning to consumer-driven health plans (CDHP) to cut down on health care costs. The plans allow employees to use health savings accounts or health reimbursement arrangements to pay for medical care. According to a recent survey by Aon Hewitt, 56% of companies offer a consumer-driven health plan as a choice for employees, and 30% are considering offering a CDHP within the next three to five years.
