Keebler Expanding Despite Bear Market

Kellogg-owned Keebler Co. is moving ahead with an expansion strategy that includes an $18.3 million plan to triple the size of its ice-cream cone production plant in Chicago. The move came despite the current economic downturn. Kellogg CEO Carlos Gutierrez said, "We think the food business will be around forever."
