Differences in diabetes subtype affects response to drugs

People with a specific subtype of inherited Type 2 diabetes react to drugs called sulphonylureas better than other types of diabetic patients, according to a report in The Lancet medical journal. The researchers also found the group suffered from fewer side effects from the drugs.
