Companies flock to airports in new age of global commerce

As more companies operate on levels of global commerce, airports are emerging as critical factors in a business' location, taking the same importance as automobiles and trucks in the 20th century. Significant development has sprung up around major airport hubs and companies have flocked to cities such as Louisville, Ky., and Memphis, Tenn., where UPS and Federal Express, respectively, have headquarters.
