Students with special needs gear up for California exit exam

Now that California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has vetoed a bill that would have exempted students with disabilities in the Class of 2006 and 2007 from having to pass the state exit exam, some high school seniors with special needs are redoubling efforts to prepare for the test. The governor said he rejected the bill because it exceeded the terms of a recently settled lawsuit concerning disabled students and the exit exam.
