California governor's funding boost for schools could help with voters

In the California gubernatorial race, Democratic challenger state Treasurer Phil Angelides says incumbent Arnold Schwarzenegger can't be trusted, because he reneged last year on an earlier promise to fund schools. Polls indicate, however, that many California voters feel Schwarzenegger has since made amends by recently signing into law a bill that channels a record $55.1 billion into K-12 schools and community colleges.
