Florida district board votes on school chief's firing

The six Broward County, Fla., school board members who have officially graded Superintendent Frank Till differ as to whether he should step down Nov. 17, with his salary continuing through his contract's end on July 31, 2007. Critics blame Till for the district's low high school reading scores and a flawed school construction program, while supporters note the district has made progress and earned national attention for some of Till's programs.
