Study: Vitamin D may have role in preventing spread of cancer

Vitamin D may play an important role in stopping the spread of cancer, according to a new small study. Researchers found that women with early-stage breast cancer had much higher levels of vitamin D in their blood than those whose cancer had spread to other parts of their body. The findings add to previous research hinting that vitamin D plays a role in cancer prevention.
