Report: African countries making progress in malaria efforts

Insecticide-treated nets and new drugs are helping African countries curb child malaria, even though the death toll remains unchanged, according to a United Nations-backed report. "These recent gains create, for the first time, a strong foundation from which countries can make rapid progress towards reducing the impact of malaria," the report said.
