Study links genetic mutation to overeating

People with the Taq1A1 allele genetic variation, linked to lower levels of dopamine D2 receptors, are more prone to overeat compared with those who lacked the genotype, a U.S. study revealed. The dopamine system could be a good target for the development of weight-loss drugs, a researcher said.
