High commodity costs still affecting grocery prices

Grocery prices increased 7.6% in September from a year prior, and the USDA predicts food prices will rise as much as 5% in 2009. "The impact of [higher-priced] corn is continuing to work its way through the value chain and will continue to be reflected in higher grocery prices for some period," GMA's Scott Faber said.
