Research facility in Scotland to study "superbugs"

The University of St. Andrews in Scotland will house a research facility that will focus on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Clostridium difficile infection and other hospital-acquired illnesses. The $8.6 million project, which was funded by Wellcome Trust, also hopes to study other diseases, such as cancer and bird flu.
